Ανέκαθεν.
Εφόσον δεν χρησιμοποίησαν το gpl ovpn (ή το commercial του)
και αποφάσισαν να γράψουν τη δική τους υλοποίηση είναι αναμενόμενο.
Που μπορεί να είναι καλύτερα απο κάποιες απόψεις αλλά αυτό είναι πολύ μακροπρόθεσμο.
Προς το παρόν είναι αυτό που είναι.
Αν κάποιος θέλει να στήσει έναν ovpn server σε router θα εξυπηρετηθεί καλύτερα με pfsense/wrt/κλπ.

Τουλάχιστον το Wireguard φαίνεται άξιος αντικαταστάτης

Ναι (με αστερίσκους, τουλάχιστον είναι απλούστερο/γρηγορότερο), αλλά δεν το φτιάχνουν αυτοί :whistle:
Το θετικό είναι ότι εφόσον πλέον είναι στον kernel έχει εξασφαλίσει την ύπαρξη/εξέλιξη του για χρόνια,
οπότε είναι σχετικά safe να σχεδιάσεις μια λύση γύρω απο το wg.

Γενικά, όπου αποφάσισε η mtik να γράψει την δική της υλοποίηση,
τους πήρε χρόνια μέχρι να το στρώσουν (και αναμενόμενο δλδ).
Το νέο bgp το παλεύουν πόσο, 4-5 χρόνια?

Προσωπικά έχω μια σχέση αγάπης-μίσους, σέβομαι τους devs (αυτό που κάνουν δεν είναι εύκολο),
και είναι υπέροχο ότι στα mtik τα έχεις όλα κάτω απο ένα gui/cli σε κοινό config,
και φαινομενικό value/$,
αλλά συναντάς θέματα που σε σκέτο linux απλώς δεν υπάρχουν.

Απ'την άλλη, ένα σωρό σενάρια μπορούν να καλυφθούν με mtik με αστείο κόστος,
και ξέρεις ότι, με τα όποια bugs του, το os θα υποστηρίζεται για χρόνια (βασικά μέχρι να μην μπορεί το hardware πλέον).

Οπότε, ok, έχουν τα θέματα τους, αλλά ο κόσμος είναι καλύτερος με τα mtik.

Πηρα αποφαση να αφηνω να περασει κανενας μηνας για να την βλεπω σε ενα Mikrotik που εχω για δοκιμες

αλλα δεν προλαβαινω που λεει ο λογος....

Για το feature που ρωτας νομιζω πως οχι δεν αφορα το back 2 home γιατι αν θυμαμαι καλα δεν φτιαχνει preshared key.

Since version 7.9 few processes were not working properly and could have caused an extra load on single CPU core, compared to older versions. That was caused due to the fact that parallel processes were not started as separate tasks. For example, this did affect SSL processes, certificate management processes, PPP tunnels, etc.

Kind of a classical "single core stuck on 100%" or "process X is being handled only by a single CPU core" problems.

For example, simple traffic processing was not affected.

Εμένα πήγε το μυαλό μου στο θέμα της χρήσης μόνο ενός core στο pppoe στους arm επεξεργαστές (όχι τους arm64).
